Money Making Sense is a 2017 People’s Choice Podcast Awards (#PCA17) finalist. It's no secret the cost of medication keeps rising.  And it's affecting those people who need it the most.  The Outreach Program Director, Peter Hebertson, and the Medicaire Options Coordinator, McKenzie Scott, for Salt Lake County Aging & Adult Services joins host Heather Kelly to discuss this growing problem.

If you are in the United States on a fixed income, lower income, or struggling to pay for needed prescriptions and health care, you can go to http://www.eldercare.gov/ to find the help closest to you.  Aging & Adult service coordinators across the country are trained to find the best cost savings whether your on Medicare, Medicaid, SHIP or no insurance at all.  

You can also call 385-468-3200 for general information.  And there are programs worldwide designed to help people who need assistance paying for life-saving medications and health care.
